GDPR is an EU privacy regulation that enforces a certain standard of handling and obtainign user data. Bimber has certain ready-made integrations so you can make your site GDPR ready in a few simple steps

WP GDPR Compliance plugin

The WP GDPR Compliance plugin assists website and webshop owners to comply with European privacy regulations known as GDPR. By May 24th, 2018 your site or shop has to comply to avoid large fines.

GDPR theme integration

Bimber uses the WP GDPR Compliance plugin to provide GDPR integration. For elements (like social login form) we provide our custom integration. To enable the GDPR integration, please:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin › Appearance › Theme Options panel
  2. Open to the GDPR tab
  3. Check the "Enable GDPR integration"
  4. A link will be displayed to install the plugin, please click it and the plugin will be installed and activated for you
  5. Please access the plugin's setting page for further setup

WordPress Social Login

WP GDPR Compliance doesn't have a built in support for WP Social Login buttons, but we provide our own consent checkbox. To set this up:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin › Appearance › Theme Options panel
  2. Open to the GDPR tab
  3. Make sure that "Enable GDPR integration" is checked
  4. Set the WP Social Login consent text

Mailchimp

WP GDPR Compliance at the moment doesn't have a built in support for MailChimp but it is scheduled to be released very soon with a new version of the plugin.
