Header

Style

Bimber allows you to make many adjustments to the look of the header. To stylize the header, please:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin › Appearance › Customize panel
  2. Switch to the Design › Header section
  3. Type values (in pixels) into margin options to control the spacing between elements
  4. Use color pickers to modify the colors of various elements of the header

Composition

To define your header style, please:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin › Appearance › Customize panel
  2. Switch to the Design › Header section
  3. Choose your most preferred composition

Mobile composition

Mobile composition setting affects the look of your header on the mobile devices. To define it, please:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin › Appearance › Customize panel
  2. Switch to the Design › Header section
  3. Switch the Mobile Composition option

To enable the sticky header, please do as follows:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin › Appearance › Customize panel
  2. Go to the Design › Header section
  3. Change the Sticky Header option to enabled

Please remember that the sticky header won't work on a single post page if the sticky sharebar is enabled.
If you want to have the sticky header on a single post page, you need to disable the sticky sharebar.

Social icons

To define your social icons, please:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin › Settings › G1 Socials panel
  2. Paste the links to your social media profiles next to the respective icons and save the changes

To define the way social icons are displayed in the header, please:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin › Appearance › Customize panel
  2. Switch to the Design › Header section
  3. Use the Social Icons select box to choose your preferred composition

Mega menu

Set up category menu

Category menus are a type of Mega Menu that display newest category entries in a box appearing, while the mouse cursor hovers over the category menu entry.

To set up a category menu, please:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin › Appearance › Menus panel
  2. Select a menu and make sure it's location is set to Primary Navigation
  3. Use the Categories tab on the left to add a category entry to the menu
  4. Expand the entry in the Menu structure by clicking the arrow in it's top right corner
  5. Turn on Turn into Mega Menu checkbox
  6. Make sure you remember to save the changes

Set up columns

Columns are a type of Mega Menu that display the children of a menu entry in a Mega Menu box instead of standard hover rollout.

To set up a columns menu, please:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin › Appearance › Menus panel
  2. Select a menu and make sure it's location is set to Primary Navigation
  3. Find a menu entry that has nested child menu entries. You can make a menu entry a child of its preceding entry by dragging it to the right
  4. Expand the parent entry in the Menu structure by clicking the arrow in it's top right corner
  5. Turn on Turn into Mega Menu checkbox
  6. Make sure you remember to save the changes
